This is a self-tie bow tie, so it must be tied by the wearer. (Look for our band collar version if you require a pre-tied bow tie.) The material is durable in a thicker weight and, if you look closely, has a slightly ribbed texture. We don’t consider this to be a particularly shiny or matte bow tie, but it does have a light sheen.
