This boys’ red and green plaid breakaway tie is the one for him to wear this holiday season. The festive pattern is perfect for Christmas dinner and the entire family can match his look. This plaid comes in men’s and boys’ neckties and bow ties, too.
This is a pre-tied necktie. It gets the name “breakaway” because of the plastic clip that secures the tie around the knot. For safety reasons, if this tie is yanked hard enough it will detach. (With normal, everyday use the tie stays securely in place.) Two sizes are available: A 14-inch or 16-inch length. The tie is made from heavyweight, durable polyester in a matte school uniform finish.
Sizing
The length of our boys’ pre-tied ties refers to the length from the top of the tie knot down to the very tip of the tie. Use the sizes below based on age as a guide only. For best fit, we recommend measuring the child from the top of the collar to the belt line, which is about where the tip of a tie should hit. Select the length of tie that is closest to your measurement.
